Grandpa Sweaters and Rain Boots

cover

It’s been raining constantly for the past couple of days, which is great for California, but not great when you have to commute to work. I love the rain if I can stay indoors and just watch Netflix on the couch. I don’t like the rain when I have to run errands and drive 45 minutes to work. To make rainy days more bearable, I like to stay really comfy. My go-to rainy day outfit is an oversized grandpa sweater with leggings. Continue Reading

Layering Outerwear

cover

A few weeks ago, my friend, Lauren, got a pass to the Mountain Hardwear employee store. Mountain Hardwear is an outdoor clothing and equipment store. Since skiing season has begun, we were both looking to get some new gear at some great prices, and let me tell you, there were some great deals. I will say one thing though, the men’s section definitely had a better selection in terms of colors and design. I ended up shopping in the men’s section and picked up some great base layers and an awesome jacket that turned out to be great for layering.  Continue Reading

Slip Dresses and Velvet Booties

It’s very rare that all of my current favorite pieces of clothing go together to make one complete outfit, but by some miracle, all the pieces I purchased on Black Friday fit together pretty seamlessly. I thought I demonstrated some self-control this Black Friday, but once I saw all the boxes laying on the floor, I realized that I had failed miserably. This outfit is a pretty good representation of all of my favorite purchases.  Continue Reading

Rainy Day Essentials: Bean Boots

I have had my eyes on these Bean Boots for a few years now. Although they are a bit impractical for California, it has been a particularly rainy season and I wanted something a bit more compact than my Hunter boots. I’ve wanted Bean Boots since I lived in Massachusetts, but being a college student with no income, I couldn’t justify purchasing them. Also, they were so popular that they would constantly be on backorder. Fast forward to three years out of college (scary, I know) and I finally pulled the trigger on these heavy-duty boots that are perfect for winter.  Continue Reading

Revel in the Holidays: A Gift Guide to Luxe Athleisure

cover

A few weeks ago, I went to West Coast Crafts in San Francisco. WCC is an event that occurs twice a year that exhibits artists and designers that are inspired by the West Coast lifestyle. The vendors that have a booth are normally small indie brands and most of the items sold, are made in the USA. The exhibition can be a bit overwhelming, but it’s a great place to meet and interact with local artists and designers. WCC is a great place to find unique items for yourself or gifts for your friends and family. I found one particular brand that will be perfect for you or a friend if you are looking for a way to elevate your gym or athleisure attire.
