Fall Staple: The Camel Coat

Ever since fall rolled around, I’ve been on the hunt for a good camel/tan coat. I’ve looked at all my usual spots: J. Crew, Banana Republic, Madewell, etc., but the quality never seemed to fit with the price tag. I then went to Forever 21 and H&M, and while cheaper than J.Crew and Banana Republic, I was still left unimpressed. I ended up finding exactly what I wanted at the most unlikely store and at a great price too! If you want to find out where I found this beauty, keep reading!  Continue Reading

Leather and Jeans

This past weekend, my friend Claire came to visit me from NYC. We haven’t seen each other in a hot minute, but we went back to our old habits real quick. The weekend was filled with food, laughs, and of course, a little photo shot. If you want to know what shenanigans we were up to,  keep reading!

Off The Grid in Culottes

I have been loving and embracing the culotte trend. I wore jersey culottes when I was in middle school because I hated wearing jeans at the time and culottes were so breezy and comfortable. Not only has the comfy trend come back, but it came with some nice upgrades. Keep reading to see how I style a pair of my favorite faux leather culottes.  Continue Reading

On The Grid

I randomly came across these pair of trousers sitting in a garment bag at my mom’s office. I saw that they were my size so I decided to take them out on the town.

I love a good pair of statement pants because it helps me get out of a rut when I’m just wearing dark wash denim every day. It stands out from what I wear on a day to day basis and it’s more interesting. The one caveat to any article of clothing that is bold is that I can’t wear it as frequently as I would like, so whenever I wear a statement piece, it makes that outfit a bit more special and unique.

Do you have any statement pieces that you can’t live without? Let me know!

Parrot Print

Parrots on a shirt? Yes, please.

Here’s my solution for the days you really don’t feel like getting dressed, but have to. Go to your closet and pick out a printed shirt or pant and top the outfit off with basics.

I prefer printed tops, so I picked this bright parrot printed blouse and paired it with one of my oldest and most worn black jeans. I don’t know if they are even considered black anymore – I’m going to call it a vintage washed out black/grey color.

Finishing up the outfit with some black ballet flats and simple gold jewelry, and I am good to go.
