Fall Staple: The Camel Coat

cover

Ever since fall rolled around, I’ve been on the hunt for a good camel/tan coat. I’ve looked at all my usual spots: J. Crew, Banana Republic, Madewell, etc., but the quality never seemed to fit with the price tag. I then went to Forever 21 and H&M, and while cheaper than J.Crew and Banana Republic, I was still left unimpressed. I ended up finding exactly what I wanted at the most unlikely store and at a great price too! If you want to find out where I found this beauty, keep reading!  Continue Reading

Fall Brights/Blogmas Announcement

cover

Since it’s technically not winter for a few more weeks, I’m not retiring my bright clothes just yet. Fall this year has been a roller coaster of emotions as some days are absolutely beautiful and others are so frigid, I can’t leave the house without two jackets! Thankfully, when Dylan came to visit last month, the weather was gorgeous and we were able to wonder around Palo Alto. Also, this year, I’m excited to announce that I will be doing a version of Blogmas on Spotted.Chic! Continue reading for all the exciting details! Continue Reading

Mesh Moments

cover

Fashion gifts are always a risk. They are extremely personal and they really expose how well you know someone and what you think their style is. My boyfriend tends to stray away from getting me anything fashion related, for a number of reasons. He thinks I have more clothes than I need and he doesn’t want to add to the clutter that is my closet. He also doesn’t want to get me something that I might not like or get a lot of wear out of. This past summer, however, he went to Europe and he got me a rather risqué piece of clothing – an all mesh top.  Continue Reading

Teddy Bear Jacket (Happy Thanksgiving)

cover

First off, Happy Thanksgiving! If you’re reading this, I want to thank you for taking time out of your day to visit my blog and supporting me. I honestly cannot believe it’s already Thanksgiving, like, “where has this year gone?” I have so much to be thankful this year – my family and friends, my job and all the amazing opportunities it has given me. The list goes on and on, but this year has been very busy and exciting and I have lots to be grateful for. Something very big is happening next week and I cannot wait to share it with you guys (I posted a sneak peek pic on my Instagram). But enough about me, onto the Thanksgiving outfit!  Continue Reading

Picture this: I’m standing in front of my closet, running late as usual, and my mind hits a wall –  I don’t know what to wear. You might be thinking, “Dude, you’re running late. Grab a t-shirt, put on some pants and go.” Trust me, I wish my mind worked like that. Since I don’t like being late to work, I’ve figured out a way to get dressed quickly that works for me. Ready?

  1. Pick something you haven’t worn in a while – like this army shirt jacket that I’ve had for years and it needs some lovin’
  2. Pick something new – I’ve been loving this black J. Crew sleeveless blouse I got on sale because it’s simple and super comfortable
  3. Put on some pants
  4. Accessorize
  5. Cross your fingers and pray that your outfit isn’t a disaster

Do you guys have any tips for getting dressed quickly? Let me know!

Stay Chic!
