Army Inspired

This outfit post has nothing to do with the story I’m about to tell you, but through the pictures you will see that I have a small splotch of tanned skin in the middle of my chest. This small splotch of color is the remnants of my time at the beach a few months ago.

I used to never sunburn. I swam up until my junior year of college and I would rarely apply sunscreen (I know, skin cancer. I already got the lecture). Recently, however, I found that I actually do burn and I learned this lesson the really hard way.

I went to Santa Cruz Beach a few months ago and haphazardly applied sunscreen. I definitely missed a bunch of spots because my legs, arms, and chest were ridiculously sunburned – to the point that I was swollen for days and it was extremely painful.

The most noticeable spot was on my chest. I somehow managed to miss one small part of my chest – like I completely missed it. Most of my chest was pink and there was this spot, right in the middle, that was bright red.

Fast forward to now, most of my tan has evened out except for this one spot. It’s funny to look at it now and laugh, but I definitely learned my lesson to thoroughly apply my sunscreen.
