Recovering From The Holidays

First and foremost, HAPPY NEW YEARS!! I know it’s a little late, but I hope all of you had a wonderful holiday season.  I was in the Bay Area for Christmas and Florida for New Years and let me tell you, I am fully guilty of overeating.

Since coming back to California, I have been pretty good about going to the gym and establishing a good workout schedule.  My gym and I have a pretty good relationship.  I have been a member since I was in high school and they have several locations that are very convenient for me.  Since I have started working, however, I have been going to the gym during peak hours and it’s kind of a pain because sometimes I can’t find parking or my machine is taken, but these things are only slight annoyances.  My biggest grievance, however, is that right after the new years, everyone and their moms have the bright idea of getting fit and healthy.

Now, I am all for living a healthy lifestyle and working out regularly, but there is a direct correlation between my patience and how long I have to wait for a machine to free up. As you may have guessed already, my patience dwindles exponentially the longer I have to wait.  Although I still go to the gym out of sheer necessity, I have made an effort to dress my food baby, aka trying to hide it as much as possible until the hoard of people at my gym dies down. I give it a month.

How did you spend your holidays? Let me know!

Stay Chic!
