It has been raining up a storm these past few weeks and if I didn’t have to wake up at 7 AM everyday to go to work, I would love it. Unfortunately, I have to work, which equals, me dressing as if an apocalypse is imminent.
When it rains, I live in this parka because, one, I found it for $20 in the boys section at H&M and two, it has a detachable fleece vest, so it’s super warm and cozy. Another rainy day essential are rain boots.
When I was in high school, I used to always buy cheap, but cute turtle or whale printed rain boots and every year I had to replace them because the rubber would split and water would get in. When I moved to the northeast, it was time to invest in some heavy duty rain boots that could withstand the snow and rain. While these boots are on the expensive side, they have lasted me more than 4 years and are still holding up strong (*knock on wood*), so I would say that they are a good investment.
Other than a good jacket and boots, I like to keep it casual and comfortable because it’s already raining outside, and I want to be cozy even if I have to be at work.
