Pants Weather

My former suitemate and I were talking the other day about how we really wanted to wear pants.  Houston weather, unfortunately disagrees with us and continues to be in the high 90s on the daily.  There have been times when I gave the weather two middle fingers and just wore jeans and I have regretted it every time.  If you have ever been in a situation when you’re sweating in jeans, you know it is excruciatingly painful.  Getting your jeans off when you’re sweating is not the issue because at that point, you just want to get those suckers off.  The problem comes when you have to put your pants back on – your jeans will refuse to cover your sweaty thighs and you will be doing the pants dance for a while (think Ross and his leather pants).  And that’s a guarantee.

My solution to my current pants situation is to wear looser and more breathable pants.  Really, any loose pants should work: sweatpants, Adidas tear aways, harem pants, go for the gold on this one.  The higher-waisted they are, the better.

These days, I have been really lazy about putting outfits together, so simplicity is key.  It doesn’t get more simple then a pair of black harem pants and a white silk cami.  If I do want to dress an outfit up, I will wear a statement necklace or some chunky bracelets, or all of the above!  It’s October, so bring out the black booties and bold red lips!  Black booties are a fall staple for me, and these cut-out booties put a nice twist to the classic bootie.  And if you are anything like me and prefer that extra 5 minutes of sleep in the morning, I recommend just evening out the skin with this Make Up Forever Face & Body Foundation and doing a bold lip with this red lip stain.  It looks like you made an effort in your appearance, when in reality, it took 2 minutes.  If you want to add some color to your skin, just sweep a matte bronzer and a nice coral blush.  Hope all of you had a lovely week!
