Skirt on Peek-a-Boo Dress

The end of the week is so close, but I always find myself losing steam by the time Thursday rolls around.  Being a little daring with your outfit choice can give you a boost of energy to finish the week on a strong note.

Although I am in love with this floral dress, it’s a little bland for the first week of school, so I decided to add a skater skirt to give the outfit more volume or Va-Va-Voom, an idea that I got from the ever-so-stylish Diane Kruger.  I was a little wary about the look, as the skirt was shorter than the dress, but after staring in the mirror I decided that the little peek-a-boo fabric added texture and a unique touch to the overall outfit.  Layering doesn’t have to be restricted to the upper half of the body- the bottom half wants some attention too!

Since this dress is sleeveless and I get cold fairly easy, I again transformed a denim shirt into a jacket.  Keeping the outfit simple, I slipped on some Sam Edelman sandals that have gloriously molded to my feet, so I feel like I am walking on clouds when I wear them!
