I received my very first Influenster VoxBox – the Summer Beauty VoxBox! I actually received this box about a month ago, but I wanted to test all the products thoroughly so that I could give my honest opinion on each one. This box was full of deluxe or full size samples to test, evaluate, and recommend the ones I like.
In case you do not know what it is, Influenster is a community of trendsetters invited to share their lifestyles and show off their influence (awkward wording) to qualify for personalized product shipments, rewards, and exclusive deals from well known brands. Members that are chosen to get a VoxBox test the products, give feedback, and spread the word of the products they like.
My Summer Beauty VoxBox came with five products:
The first product: Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Lotion Sunscreen SPF 30 (Full Size: $8.99)
I am a HUGE fan of sunscreen. I wear it everyday on my face and whenever I work out outside, swim, or lay by the pool with friends. This sunscreen is very hydrating because it has a dual ribbon formula that continuously moisturizes your skin, but it’s still light and non-greasy. This lotion lasts 12 hours and is water resistant for 80 minutes. This sample size is perfect for carrying around in my beach bag.
The one thing that I don’t like about this lotion is the scent. It has a very strong coconut scent and I’m not a fan of coconut-smelling things. This sunscreen comes in SPF 12, 30, and 50. If you like coconut-scented things, I really recommend this product. It will make your arms and legs feel like silk.
Nail art is very trendy right now, but it can also be very time-consuming. This nail polish gives you a cool 3-D design in just 10 minutes. With its unique formula, it reveals a unique nail design when you put a magnet over the wet nail polish.
I think this nail polish is really cool and super easy to do. I give this product two big thumbs up!
Sally Hansen Nails and Cuticles Hand Creme (Full Size: $5.99)
Every time I shake my grandpa’s hand, he always comments on how rough my hands are. I swear, he thinks I’m secretly a carpenter. I used Sally Hansen’s Nail and Cuticles Hand Creme to see if it could cure me of my dry hands. Unfortunately, its effects as a hand cream only lasted a couple of hours. Moreover, if I washed my hands, the lotion would also wash off.
As for a nail and cuticle creme, it works wonders. I put it on before I put my nail polish on and it made my cuticles so soft. It is made with shea butter and it helps lock in nutrients. It has a slight orange scent, which I really like.
If you want soft cuticles or a light hand creme, I would definitely recommend this product. At $5.99, you have nothing to lose!
Tampax and Always Radiant Collection (prices vary)
First off, let me say that whoever designed the packaging should give themselves a pat on the back because it is definitely eye-catching and entices you to use the product. The box is very bright and sparkly and the sample came with a bag with a sample of tampons and pads. The one product that I didn’t like was the scented pad because I prefer non-scented feminine products.
I love the pouch because I am quite the klutz and it’s always embarrassing when I spill my bag and a couple tampons fall out. When this inevitably happens, the small pouch will just look like a coin purse.
Quaker Soft Baked Bar in Banana Nut Bread ($3.29 for package of bars)
This bar is made with real bananas and almonds and it’s a great way to start your day – from a nutritional standpoint . The package says to heat up the bar for 10 seconds and right out of the microwave, it smells delicious. Unfortunately, the taste is somewhat subpar. The texture is a little bit dry and chewy.
Like a lot of granola bars, these Quaker bars have quite a bit of sugar, containing 11 grams apiece. Nonetheless, if you are a person that skips breakfast, these bars are great on – the – go and will fill you up.
Will you be trying any of these products?
