Too Faced Eye Shadow Duo: Review and Swatches!

I am a sucker for two things: makeup and sales.  So when you combine the two, I can get a little crazy.  After finishing my 3rd final exam today, I decided I needed a much deserved study break before diving into my 4th final tomorrow.  I decided to check my mail and to my surprise I got a package from Hautelook.  If you don’t know what Hautelook is, it’s a company that has clothing, makeup, and home decor all at a discounted price.  I normally only buy makeup from Hautelook as their sales are makeup are RIDICULOUS.  I’m talking about $5.00 for Urban Decay eye shadows.  The only downside is that you do have to pay for shipping and it takes about 3/4 weeks to ship.  On the plus side, you forget that you ordered something from Hautelook and when you receive the package, it’s like Christmas all over again!

Anyways, I ordered two Too Faced Eye Shadow Duos in Teddy Bear/Heaven and Cocoa Puff/Honey Pot.  I’ve been trying to hold back on buying makeup, but $8.00 for Too Faced cosmetics was just too good to pass up.  You can also find these eye shadows in their Natural Eye Neutral Shadow Collection.  I have never tried any Too Faced products and the pigmentation and texture of these eye shadows left me with wanting to buy more!

First off, how cute is the packaging!

The packaging is so sleek and perfect to travel with.  I can just toss these in my purse, and create my everyday look.

On the left is Cocoa Puff/Honey Pot.  Cocoa Puff is a warm brown with some silver shimmer.  Honey Pot is a nice bronze color.  (Reminds me of “Baked” by Urban Decay) On the right is Teddy Bear/Heaven.  Teddy Bear is a matte greyish brown shade and Heaven is a matte cream color.

These shadows were so smooth and pigmented.  The eye shadows felt like silk on my fingers.  I only had to swipe my finger once or twice for this much pigmentation.

I was very pleased with my purchase and I will definitely get a lot of wear from these shadow because they are so natural and I can tone them down for an everyday look or amp them up for a night look.  I can’t wait for the next Too Faced sale on Hautelook!
